The Principle of Extraction
Nucleic acid extraction is the first step of any amplification experiment no matter what kind of amplification is used to detect a specific pathogen. The purified extraction products can be used in downstream molecular biology experiments, such as PCR amplification, SNP detection, NGS analysis. Application of nucleic acid extraction occurs in many fields, including clinical diagnosis, science research, food safety, veterinary diagnosis and forensic identification.

Based on automatic, efficient and accurate detection requirements, the magnetic bead method become the mainstream extraction method after the 2020 year. By changing the absorbing force between magnetic beads with nucleic acid and undergoing the lysis-wash-elution step, this method could successfully isolate and purified RNA or/and DNA from clinical samples.
