STAX-12A All-in-One Molecular Diagnosis System

STAX-12A All-in-One Molecular Diagnosis System

Introduction

The STAX-12A All-in-One Molecular Diagnosis System is an open-reagent-platform instrument for trained professionals in laboratory settings. It integrates magnetic bead-based nucleic acid extraction and purification, automated liquid handling, PCR reaction preparation, real-time PCR amplification, fluorescence detection, and data analysis in one benchtop system.

Designed to process 1–12 samples simultaneously, STAX-12A automates the testing workflow following manual specimen preparation, sample addition, and loading of reagents and specified consumables. Testing is completed in approximately 1–2 hours, depending on the compatible assay and protocol.

Features

Integrated Automation and Workflow Efficiency

  • Integrated automation: Following manual sample addition and loading, the system performs extraction, PCR reaction preparation, amplification, detection, and analysis to reduce hands-on steps.
  • Rapid results: Completes multi-target nucleic acid testing in approximately 1–2 hours, depending on the assay and protocol.
  • Flexible sample throughput: Processes 1–12 samples in parallel for urgent and routine testing needs.
  • Precise liquid handling: Features 12 pipetting channels, liquid level detection, and a dispensing range of 5–50 μL. Larger volumes are handled through multiple dispensing operations.
  • Compact footprint: A benchtop design integrates multiple testing functions for laboratories with limited space.

Multiplex Testing and Result Analysis

  • Open reagent platform: Supports extraction and PCR reagents whose instructions for use specify compatibility with STAX-12A.
  • Multiplex testing: Supports up to 8 fluorescence channels and up to 64 targets per sample, depending on the instrument configuration and compatible assay.
  • User-friendly operation: Features a 10-inch touchscreen interface and barcode scanning for convenient operation.
  • Real-time data visualization: Displays amplification curves in real time throughout the testing process.
  • Assay-defined analysis: Provides amplification curves and Ct values, with qualitative or quantitative interpretation and applicable melting-curve analysis supported by compatible reagents and protocols.

Contamination Control and Laboratory Applications

  • Contamination control: Combines film-covered consumables, automated tip handling, directed airflow, negative pressure, HEPA filtration, and UV disinfection to help reduce cross-contamination risk.
  • Compatible applications: Supports automated molecular diagnostic workflows using extraction and PCR reagents whose instructions for use specify compatibility with STAX-12A, together with the consumables specified for the instrument.
