In October 2022, Bioperfectus supplied Monkeypox Virus Real Time PCR kits to Africa CDC to increase the distribution of monkeypox virus test kits to African regions as part of Africa CDC’s continued commitment to addressing the developing emergency.
Bioperfectus was asked to assist Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and the African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM) by providing Ebola Virus Real Time PCR Kits and training to clinicians and other healthcare professionals, which enabled Africa CDC to respond quickly to support hospitals and frontline healthcare staff in epidemics control.

Type of packaging matters. In the era of the post-COVID-19 pandemic, the cost-efficiency of nucleic acid extraction is one of the primary concerns of many PCR laboratories.
BioPerfectus is pleased to announce that Monkeypox Virus (MPXV) Fast Real Time PCR Kit, Monkeypox Virus Genotyping Real Time PCR Kit, Monkeypox Virus/Varicella-zoster Virus/Variola Virus Real Time PCR Kit, Monkeypox Virus and Orthopoxvirus Real Time PCR Kit have been approved by the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and are now officially available for Great Britain and Northern Ireland market.
Nucleic acid extraction provides a foundation for many extensive research and applications (for example cloning, PCR analysis, and next-generation sequencing technology in the field of whole genome and transcriptome), and the obtained nucleic acid can be used in a variety of ways. Nucleic acid purification and quality assessment are important steps in experimental workflows, and the quality of nucleic acids can affect the performance in downstream reactions.
Infectious diseases spread rapidly, and individuals with viruses can spread the infection to many other people in their community. Bioperfectus is still in a race against time and a guardian of humankind.
Nowadays, emerging infectious diseases significantly threaten global public health and socioeconomic security and will change how people live. COVID-19 is a notable example. There might also have an outbreak of Monkeypox based on the current situation. When a disease outbreak occurs, PCR would be a suitable way to accurately identify the pathogen and detect it in the early stage.
Since 1 January 2022, cases of monkeypox have been reported with almost 60,000 in102 countries and regions. As data presented that about 99% of cases in 95 locations have not been historically reported. This is the first time that cases and sustained chains of transmission have been reported in countries without direct or immediate epidemiological links to areas of West or Central Africa.
