On June 30, 2026, BioPerfectus welcomed a delegation from the Training Program on Infectious Disease Prevention and Control for Anglophone African Countries to its facility in Jiangsu, China.
Organized by the Jiangsu Institute of Parasitic Diseases, the visit brought together more than 20 health system experts and officials from African countries and regions, including Cabo Verde, Ethiopia, Zanzibar, Cameroon, and Botswana. The delegation exchanged insights with BioPerfectus representatives on infectious disease prevention and control, vector-borne disease diagnostics, and the localized application of in vitro diagnostic solutions in African healthcare settings.

Exploring BioPerfectus’ Integrated IVD Capabilities
The delegation first visited the BioPerfectus exhibition hall, where they gained an overview of the company’s technology platforms, product portfolio, and global development in the field of in vitro diagnostics.
With more than a decade of experience in IVD, BioPerfectus focuses on infectious disease diagnostics and women’s and children’s health. The company continues to build an integrated product portfolio covering instruments, reagents, and overall diagnostic solutions, with products now available in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide.

At the core instrument display area, the delegation showed strong interest in the STAX-12A Integrated Molecular Diagnostic System and the Nucleic Acid Extraction System SSNP-2000B, which received the 2022 iF Design Award.
The STAX-12A system supports a sample-in, result-out molecular testing workflow and can be paired with BioPerfectus lyophilized PCR reagents. This combination helps improve flexibility in transportation and storage, offering practical value for laboratories operating under diverse infrastructure conditions.
The delegation also visited the reagent production workshop to better understand BioPerfectus’ automated manufacturing processes and quality control system. In response to diagnostic needs for priority infectious diseases in African markets, including malaria, typhoid fever, dengue, and COVID-19, the BioPerfectus team introduced the company’s supply chain resilience and production capacity.

Strengthening Malaria Diagnostic Solutions
During the technical exchange session, the BioPerfectus R&D team introduced the development progress and technical features of the company’s Plasmodium diagnostic product portfolio.
In 2023, the Malaria Pf/Pan (HRP2/pLDH) Ag Rapid Test Kit, jointly developed by BioPerfectus and the Jiangsu Institute of Parasitic Diseases, received approval from China’s National Medical Products Administration. BioPerfectus subsequently expanded its malaria rapid testing portfolio with the Malaria Pf (HRP2) Ag Rapid Test Kit and the Malaria Pf/Pv (HRP2/pLDH) Ag Rapid Test Kit, further supporting rapid malaria screening needs in different testing scenarios.
For international market access, nine BioPerfectus malaria-related products, including the Plasmodium DNA Real Time PCR Kit, the Plasmodium Genotyping Real Time PCR Kit, and malaria rapid tests, have obtained CE marking. These products support laboratories and healthcare providers with diagnostic options across both molecular detection and rapid screening workflows.

Supporting Localized Applications in African Healthcare Settings
Malaria remains one of the major public health challenges in Africa. According to the WHO World Malaria Report 2025, the African Region accounts for approximately 94% of global malaria cases and 95% of malaria deaths. Timely and accurate diagnosis is essential for reducing malaria morbidity and mortality, particularly in resource-limited settings.
During the exchange, delegation members shared practical perspectives from their respective countries’ malaria control programs and laboratory testing needs. Discussions focused on ease of use, diagnostic accuracy, workflow adaptability, and the potential for localized implementation of malaria diagnostic products.
The delegation expressed interest in BioPerfectus’ malaria rapid testing solutions and their potential application in settings with limited laboratory infrastructure. The visit also created an opportunity for both sides to explore how diagnostic technologies can better support infectious disease surveillance, outbreak response, and public health capacity building.

Advancing Public Health Collaboration
BioPerfectus has established cooperation with multiple countries and regions in Africa and has worked with organizations including Africa CDC, the African Union, and the African Society for Laboratory Medicine to support infectious disease laboratory testing and emergency response capabilities.
In addition, the BioPerfectus Monkeypox Virus (MPXV) Fast Real Time PCR Kit has been included in Africa CDC’s first recommendation list for mpox molecular diagnostic tests. The BioPerfectus Dengue (NS1 Ag+IgG/IgM) DUO Rapid Test Kit has also passed the WHO Expert Review Panel for Diagnostics review and been included in the relevant WHO list.

The visit by health system experts from Anglophone African countries reflects the growing momentum of China-Africa public health collaboration and marks another step in BioPerfectus’ efforts to support infectious disease diagnostic capacity building worldwide.
Guided by its mission to empower life and health through precise diagnostics, BioPerfectus will continue to provide innovative diagnostic products, technologies, and services to support infectious disease prevention and control across global healthcare settings.
